Brevard Museum of History & Natural Science

The Brevard Museum of History and Natural Science is operated by the City of Cocoa and is tucked away in a quiet residential neighborhood, the museum boasts two wings of indoor exhibits. Through curation and display, visitors are invited to explore the unique history of Brevard County. From Ice Age fossils and life-sized replicas to what it was like to live in 1800’s Florida, then launch forward into the Space Age. There is something for everyone! The young kids love the Discovery Room, where they can climb into a rocket capsule for a simulated liftoff. Behind the museum are the Johnnie Johnson Nature Trails that meander thru three different ecosystems that are part of a 22-acre nature preserve.
