Cape Canaveral Space Force Station

Cape Canaveral Space Force Station is home to Space Launch Delta 45 (previously the United States Air Force Space Command’s 45th Space Wing). The base is world famous for being the launch site of many historic American space accomplishments. The first U.S. Earth satellite, the first U.S. astronaut, and the first U.S. astronaut in orbit, and more found their way to space from here. The future also launches here, with private sector companies like SpaceX, Blue Origin, and all blasting off from the pads. While most of Cape Canaveral Space Force Station is closed to the public, you can tour the Cape Canaveral Lighthouse (with an official lighthouse tour), and view launches in-person from many public locations surrounding the base, including the portside restaurants and Jetty Park at Port Canaveral.
