Thank you for your interest in Florida’s Space Coast.
It’s our pleasure to assist media with story ideas, interviews, visual assets and FAM tours.
Familiarization (FAM) tours are available to qualified members of the media such as journalists, columnists, reporters and photojournalists. Please review our media trip guidelines below and contact PR Manager Meagan Happel to submit your request.
Space Coast Office of Tourism Media Trip Guidelines:
Space Coast Office of Tourism hosts familiarization tours for qualified journalists with confirmed assignments, freelancers, and qualified content creators. We require a minimum of 4 weeks advance notice to facilitate any request.
Your request will be reviewed and responded to within 7 business days.
Requests will be evaluated based on the scope of coverage, outlet circulation/reach, story angle, and timing of the trip.
- Space Coast Office of Tourism may not be able to accommodate spouses, children, and/or other guests accompanying journalists except in the case of family-specific assignments. Special dog-friendly accommodations and itineraries can be acquired on a case-by-case basis.
- Space Coast Office of Tourism policy prohibits the hosting of journalists if the primary purpose of the trip is leisure or holiday travel. Journalists’ primary reason for travel must be their confirmed press assignment.
- Meals accompanied by a Space Coast Office of Tourism staff member will be covered, but all visiting press should plan to pay for some portion of their meals during their visit.
- Length of stay and number of comped room nights are subject to SCOT approval and are determined after a review of the completed form.
- Blackout dates for media trips include, but are not limited to: the months of March and December, federal holidays such as Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, etc., as well as Thanksgiving weekend.
