James H. Nance Park

When it comes to viewing sea turtles you might not find a better place to start then James H. Nance Park in Indialantic, FL.

This seaside park is loaded with amenities, from a beach volleyball stadium to a brand-new adaptive playground, picnic pavilions, bathroom facilities, metered parking, and oceanfront boardwalk. Nance Park is also within walking distance of Fifth Avenue (SR 192), Indialantic’s historic downtown.

The beach is the best place to watch a rocket launch or sea turtles nesting from March through October. If you’re lucky, you might catch the baby turtles hatching and making their way to the ocean, a truly amazing experience. Because the Sea Turtle Preservation Society is located just a short walk away, this area is heavily monitored.

The park may be reserved for private use by contacting the Town of Indialantic at (321) 723-2242 or www.indialantic.com.
