Nearly 200 professional and amateur surfers will compete in the 39th Annual NKF Rich Salick PRO/AM Surf Festival held on Veteran’s Day weekend, November 9th-11th at the Westgate Pier in Cocoa Beach. In addition, the Taste of Brevard and Silent Auction will take place at the Cocoa Beach Country Club on Sunday, November 10th with all proceeds benefiting the National Kidney Foundation of Florida. Over 25 restaurants and businesses will participate in Taste of Brevard by providing samples from their menus’ signature dishes. The charity surfing event plans to bring in thousands of beachgoers and spectators to enjoy the Space Coast’s world class surfing and beaches during the holiday weekend. With the help of over 300 volunteers and the support of the community, this year’s event is sure to be a weekend to remember. The event is in honor of the co-founder and 3 time kidney transplant recipient Rich Salick who passed away in July 2012.
